Biography
Anne Iott’s position as a full time college Professor of Art from 1971-2002 concluded at retirement with an appointment to Professor Emeritus at Tidewater Community College. During her tenure, she served as founding Director of TCC’s Visual Arts Center. From 1994-2002, Anne was responsible for oversight of the design and construction of a new facility, and management of the Division of Art.
In 2006, a retrospective exhibition of her work was presented at the Visual Art Center. The retrospective and accompanying catalogue offered the long view of her career as a visual artist.
During her life, Anne has established herself in the Tidewater arts community as a practicing artist, teacher, speaker, juror and officer in arts organizations. The retrospective exhibition and placement of her work in regional, state, national and international public and private collections continues to be gratifying.
