Spend the weekend with renowned writer Carol Henderson and artist Linda Passman, creating unique journals using words and images. Make multi-sensory collages using layers, tracings, photos, and maps; explore the power of place, investigate meaningful objects (in the collection and from your life), experiment with point of view, and plumb your own depths through memory, dreams, found text, and free writing. You’ll come away from this two day workshop with colorful and original pages.

Basic Cartooning
(3 sessions)

Learn the basics of cartooning and
sequential storytelling. Begin with
sketching and learn how to breathe life into your cartoons. Teens through adults welcome.

Painting Basics

Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
In this studio painting workshop, use landscape photos and still life as a vehicle to practice seeing shapes, colors, and light while applying the elements of strong composition. Students provide some basic materials. Paints will be provided by the instructor.
